A sacred pause for the woman
who has outgrown proving.
You may recognise yourself here if...
You are used to being the capable one.
You have built a life across cultures.
Your work looks successful, but something in you wants more truth.
You want to be an inspiring leader in your own life and for others.

The book inside the retreat
WanderWomen: How High-Skilled Immigrant Women Thrive is the narrative backbone of the weekend. Before you arrive, you’ll receive selected prompts from the book to help you begin reflecting on your own story. During the retreat, we work with the Braving, Building, and Becoming framework through circle, voice, reflection, and integration.
You do not need to have finished the book before you come. It becomes a companion for the questions we explore together.
Meet Briony Gunson
Breathwork & Embodiment Facilitator
Briony Gunson is a mindset coach and breathwork facilitator with 900+ hours of training and seven years of full-time facilitation experience. She has co-facilitated 11 retreats internationally and worked with organisations including EY, The Telegraph, Santander, WeWork and the NHS.
As a third culture kid who grew up in Hong Kong, Briony also connects personally with WanderWomen’s themes of identity, belonging and finding home.
At the retreat, she will guide a gentle, trauma-aware Conscious Connected Breathwork experience designed to help you soften out of striving, release mental load and create space for deeper clarity, truth and authentic expression.
Three days. One return.
The Weekend Flow
The retreat is shaped by the three movements of WanderWomen: Braving, Building, Becoming. Each day gives you a different way to look at your next chapter: what is calling you, what you have carried, what you are ready to say, and what you now know.
Friday
Arrive. Slow down. Begin.
Not every transition begins with a dramatic decision. Often it starts with a quiet question you’ve been carrying for months.
Friday is about leaving behind the pace of everyday life and arriving fully. Through reflection, conversation and your first WanderWomen Circle, you’ll begin to notice what has been asking for your attention beneath the surface.
You leave the evening with one question:
What season of life am I truly in?
Saturday morning
See your story differently.
Many accomplished women assume that restlessness means something is wrong. More often, it signals that you’ve outgrown an old definition of success.
Drawing on the WanderWomen book, guided coaching and group reflection, you’ll explore the identities you’ve built, the expectations you’ve carried, and the subtle ways you’ve adapted to belong.
Rather than rushing to the next answer, you’ll learn to recognise the season you’re actually living.
Saturday afternoon and evening
Release what no longer belongs to you.
Nature doesn’t bloom all year. It also sheds. This is where the deeper work begins.
Through guided coaching, breathwork, reflection and honest conversation, you’ll begin letting go of the expectations, invisible labour and old stories that have quietly shaped your leadership and your life. The evening closes around the fire, where stories are shared without performance, advice or fixing. Just women witnessing one another with honesty and care.
One question guides the evening:
What am I ready to stop carrying?
Sunday
Return with clarity.
When we stop trying to force the next chapter, clarity arrives more naturally.
Sunday is about integration.
You’ll create your personal New Success Script and your Leadership Manifesto, turning the insights of the weekend into practical decisions you can carry home.
You leave with more than inspiration.
You leave knowing what matters now, what boundaries will protect it, and what your next season is asking of you.
Life doesn’t move in a straight line. Neither does leadership. This weekend is designed to help you recognise the season you’re in, honour it, and return home with greater clarity about what comes next. Every day includes guided journaling, shared meals, unhurried conversation, and space to rest: nature, stillness, circle work, story, and reflection. No networking. No performance.
What You'll Leave With
More than memories.
You leave with language.
Clarity on the beginning that is calling you now.
A stronger, truer voice for what you want next.
Boundaries that can hold under pressure.
A Personal Leadership Manifesto
"I did not need more advice. I needed a room where I could hear myself again."
What women often say after this work
Why Shivangi
A lived, shared, human experience.
Shivangi Walke is the founder of WanderWomen and Thrive with Mentoring (Switzerland). She has coached and trained leaders across 40+ countries, worked with global organisations, and brings 25 years of leadership work alongside lived experience of reinvention, belonging, and visibility across cultures.
I created WanderWomen because I kept meeting extraordinary women who had done everything right and still felt strangely far from themselves.
— Shivangi Walke, Founder
A sacred pause
You don’t need another room where you have to be impressive.
You don’t need another version of success that costs you your body, joy, or truth.
You may simply need a pause.
A circle. A weekend where you can stop proving and start listening again.
Come as you are. Leave with a clearer voice, a softer body, and a braver relationship to the woman you are becoming.
Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you may want to know before joining us in Catalonia.
The WanderWomen Retreat is for accomplished women who have led, adapted, carried, built and achieved, and may now be asking a more honest question: What does success need to look like now?
It is designed especially for high-skilled immigrant women and women who have built lives across cultures. If the themes of reinvention, voice, visibility, belonging and self-trust speak to you, this may be the right room for you.
It is the shift from constantly demonstrating your capability to inhabiting your own truth more fully.
Over the weekend, you will have space to notice where you may be over-carrying, softening your voice, negotiating away your needs or continuing to live according to a definition of success that no longer fits, and begin exploring what you want instead.
Expect circle conversations, guided reflection, storytelling, nature, voice work, gentle movement, breathwork, shared meals and spacious conversation.
This is intentionally not a packed conference agenda. There is room to think, walk, rest, connect and hear yourself again.
No. There are no badges, networking breaks or pressure to introduce yourself through your job title.
You will be surrounded by accomplished women, but the intention is connection rather than networking, and presence rather than performance.
You will leave with clearer language for the chapter you are entering, greater clarity around the choices you want to make, your Personal Leadership Manifesto and a New Success Script that helps you define success on your own terms.
You will also have a 30-Day Integration Guide to help carry the work beyond the weekend.
Absolutely. You do not need to know anyone before you arrive.
The retreat is deliberately small, and connection develops naturally through shared meals, conversations, reflection and experiences together.
The retreat takes place at Can Buch, a restored Catalan farmhouse surrounded by nature near Girona in Catalonia, Spain.
The setting has been chosen deliberately. It gives us enough distance from everyday life to genuinely step out of our routines, without requiring a long-haul journey.
The WanderWomen Retreat takes place from Friday 13 November to Sunday 15 November 2026.
We are planning group transfers from Barcelona-El Prat Airport and Barcelona city to Can Buch, with return transfers on Sunday.
Confirmed participants will receive final pickup locations, timings and recommended flight arrival and departure windows well before the retreat.
Both shared and private room options are available. Private rooms are limited and carry an additional single-room supplement.
We will talk through current room availability and your preference before you confirm your place.
Full-board meals during the retreat are included, along with afternoon tea.
We will collect dietary requirements from participants before the retreat and coordinate them with the venue. We will do our best to accommodate common dietary requirements, intolerances and allergies.
Your retreat experience includes:
- Two nights at Can Buch
- Full-board meals and afternoon tea
- All facilitated retreat sessions
- Guided reflection, story and circle conversations
- Professional gentle movement and breathwork
- WanderWomen-based prompts and retreat materials
- Your Personal Leadership Manifesto
- Your New Success Script and 30-Day Integration Guide
- Planned group transfers between Barcelona and Can Buch
Flights, travel insurance, personal expenses, additional nights before or after the retreat and transfers outside the arranged group shuttle are not included.

Everything will be introduced and guided for the group.
No. Movement and embodiment practices are designed to be gentle and optional.

No. Sharing is invitational.
You will never be required to disclose something personal or process something publicly. Listening, reflecting and quiet participation are equally welcome.
It means being met beyond what you achieve, solve or hold together.
There is space to speak honestly, listen inwardly and be received without needing to justify, fix or polish your experience.
No. WanderWomen is a leadership, reflection and reinvention retreat. It is not therapy and does not replace therapeutic or medical support.
The weekend includes facilitated conversations, coaching-led reflection, storytelling, embodiment, voice work and integration practices.
The retreat will be held in English.
Begin with a short fit call with Shivangi.
It is a genuine conversation about where you are now, what you are looking for and whether this particular retreat feels like the right room for you.
There is no pressure to make a decision during the call.
If the retreat feels like a good fit, you will receive the information you need to confirm your place, including current room options, pricing, payment details and practical information.
Your place is confirmed once the required payment or deposit has been received.
Current pricing and available room options are shown in the Investment section of this page.
Private-room availability is limited and carries an additional supplement.
Because this is an intimate retreat and accommodation, food, facilitators and other commitments are secured in advance, cancellation terms apply to all bookings.
Please refer to the cancellation terms provided with your booking information before making payment.
Once your place is confirmed, we will collect your travel and dietary information.
Final Barcelona pickup points, shuttle timings, recommended travel windows, packing suggestions and arrival information will be shared with participants before the retreat.
